Most poles are compatible, but there are some nuances. For more info, check out our pole compatibility video and our pole compatibility guide!
We’re also working on a pole compatibility database! You can check out the demo here.

Yes, you can! But there are some nuances. To best answer this question, please watch our video about trekking pole compatibility.

With the default fabric bag installed, the Collector can hold a little over 1.5 liters in volume, while still being able to fully close/collapse.
I made some videos to demonstrate the Collector’s carrying capacity! Note that in these videos, I use the Collector’s standard fabric pouch, but you can also install larger bags if you wish, as can be seen in CleanTrek’s main video.

Not exactly, but there’s an option to install plastic bags of your choice, as can be seen here! For instance, a dog poop bag, bread bag, or grocery bag may be installed to the frame of the Collector, with an additional piece that holds the bottom of the bag to the trekking pole to keep it from swinging while you hike.
You can absolutely hike with large bags installed on the Collector, but keep in mind that the bigger it is, the heavier and bulkier it will be, and it will likely swing around more while you hike. The Collector’s fabric pouch is sized specifically to balance function and comfort, and it’s just the right size to be lined by a standard dog poop bag, if desired.
If you expect to collect considerably large pieces of trash, you may consider just hiking with a tote bag, grocery bag, etc. instead. For very large pieces of litter, you may consider something like this.

Yes, absolutely! The fabric pouch installs to the Collector frame via fabric snaps, and it connects to the pole (to prevent swinging) via Velcro straps. The fabric pouch can therefore be installed and removed very quickly and easily. The fabric pouch is also machine washable.

Well, you could always just remove the bag from the Collector frame, dump out the contents, and then re-attach the bag back onto the frame.
A quicker method, though, is to push the contents out of the bag by inverting it. You can watch an example of this method here:

Here are the weights of the current 3-D printed design:
Trigger: 1.39 oz
Grabber: 0.53 oz
Collector (no bag): 3.07 oz
Collector fabric bag: 0.55 oz
In my experience, the only thing you really notice on your pole is the Collector, especially when there’s lots of litter inside. Once I’m able to injection mold these products (instead of 3-D printing), I believe I can redesign the Collector to be ~30% lighter.
